Lake Andrew Township is governed by a dedicated group of elected officials who work together to oversee essential services, steward township resources, and represent the interests of residents.

What Do We Do

Lake Andrew Township operates under the authority granted by the Minnesota Statutes, primarily outlined in Chapter 366, which governs town board powers. According to Section 366.01, the Board of Supervisors is responsible for managing all township affairs not assigned to other officers by law. This includes overseeing road maintenance, managing township finances, adopting ordinances, and ensuring public safety. The Board also has the authority to regulate local activities, designate public notice locations, and manage township property.

Who are We

The Board of Supervisors is made up of five elected members, each serving staggered terms to maintain continuity and experience in leadership. The Board makes decisions through public meetings, guided by state law and community input.

The Board of Supervisors is responsible for:

• Maintaining township roads and infrastructure

• Managing the township’s budget and financial planning

• Coordinating public safety and emergency services

• Supporting natural areas and community spaces

• Engaging with residents and addressing local concerns

Supporting the Board are two key officers:

• Township Clerk is responsible for recordkeeping, local elections, and administrative duties.  The Clerk serves a two-year term, elected in even years.

• Township Treasurer manages township finances, including budgeting and reporting.  The Treasurer serves a two-year term, elected in odd year.
